Mars Snacking Names Sinead Finnegan Global Head of Data, Analytics, AI Strategy

Mars Snacking has hired Sinead Finnegan to lead the global organization's data and AI efforts. 

As part of the Mars and Kellanova merger, Finnegan has been named global head of data, analytics and AI governance and strategy, tasked with developing the global strategy, operating model, capability and frameworks to support effective, efficient and reliable decision-making at scale, according to LinkedIn.

"I’m excited by this opportunity, as these two iconic organizations come together with a clear agenda to enhance capability, increase data, analytics and AI trust," said Finnegan in a post.

Finnegan worked with Kellogg before the split and Mars merger, rising in rank from a category manager to senior global director data governance, ethics and responsible AI. During her nearly two-decade career with the company, she helped design and develop a data-driven organization and increased data literacy through education programs. 

Mars has undergone significant infrastructure shifts in the past year, most recently partnering with Google Cloud to build a unified data ecosystem through which it can build AI tools. Finnegan will undoubtedly help drive progress with this initiative and work closely with other data- and AI- enabled tools such as the company's proprietary AI platform, Mars IQ.
