Running shoe and apparel brand Saucony is looking to grow its DTC and branding initiatives. As a result, the company has named Joy Allen-Altimare its global chief marketing officer.

Joy Allen-Altimare will be tasked with overseeing the company’s branding strategy, including DTC efforts, brand positioning, advertising, digital marketing, and global growth (particularly for its heritage lifestyle business).

“Our goal is to continue to increase [the brand’s] relevance and reach out to the lifestyle consumer who not only loves our heritage of performance and innovation but also appreciates our dedication to culture and design," said Allen-Altimare.

With over 24 years of experience leading brand innovation, Allen-Altimare brings expertise in advising organizations on how to grow, innovate, and tackle tech-related challenges. She was most recently the chief revenue officer of North America for Havas Media Network, where she led the agency’s client experience, growth, and multicultural teams.

She also has a background in the healthcare industry, having previously served as chief marketing officer for Kindbody, a tech-focused fertility clinic network. In that role, she focused on brand positioning and improving the member experience. Prior to that, at EHE Health, she was chief revenue officer.

She joins the leadership team and will report directly to Saucony's global brand president Rob Griffiths, who said Allen-Altimare is a passionate change driver with an empathetic and inclusive approach to leadership and cultural transformation.

“Saucony is in an exciting period of growth, and as we focus on building a consumer-obsessed brand, part of that journey also requires establishing a winning workplace culture where everyone feels valued, invested, and included,” said Griffiths. “Joy possesses the abilities needed to achieve this, creating an aspirational brand and energizing people to always keep moving forward."
