Wolverine World Wide, Inc., parent company to athletic and apparel brands like Merrell, Sperry, and Chaco, has promoted Bishu Jayaram to chief supply chain officer. In the newly-created role, Jayaram will oversee the company’s global sourcing, distribution, logistics, and integrated planning.
Jayaram will report directly to president and CEO Chris Hufnagel, who said the new appointment aligns with Wolverine World Wide’s commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and transforming it into a consumer-obsessed growth company.
Jayaram brings over 20 years of experience in supply chain and sourcing. Most recently, he was SVP of global sourcing. Over the last two years in that role, he led sourcing activities for all of Wolverine World Wide’s product categories across the portfolio of brands.
Prior to joining the company, Jayaram worked across several supply chain roles with VF corporation, leading Asia sourcing for footwear, equipment, and packs, as well as overseeing global material supply for apparel, footwear, and equipment.
Jayaram has also worked with Adidas, Gap, and Avery Denison.
“Bishu has a proven track record of successfully navigating complex supply chain landscapes and implementing innovative strategies and has led the company’s sourcing organization during a period of unprecedented supply chain volatility,” said Hufnagel.
Wolverine World Wide also announced that its EVP and president of global operations group, Jim Zwiers, is transitioning away from the company in early 2024. The 25-year veteran of the company has worked as president of Wolverine’s outdoor and lifestyle group, president of international group and as general counsel. He also helped lead mergers and acquisitions.
