Mattel Names Sai Koorapati SVP and CTO

Global toy manufacturer Mattel has hired Sai Koorapati to lead digital transformation efforts as the company’s senior vice president and chief technology officer. 

In the role, Koorapati will oversee Mattel’s technology innovation and implementation efforts, which includes shared platforms, software and hardware development, AI, and connected product design and creation. He will also manage the company’s privacy and online security. 

Koorapati brings over 25 years of tech leadership experience to the company, joining from Topgolf Callaway Brands, where he served as SVP, global information technology. He was with the company for nearly a decade, helping lead an enterprise-wide digital transformation that resulted in accelerated growth, increased profits, and bolstered security. He worked across e-commerce, ERP, and analytics platforms. 

His background also includes other roles at technology and manufacturing companies such as sports equipment business TaylorMade Golf where he helped lead an overall transformation and turn-around of the global infrastructure organization, according to his LinkedIn

Koorapati will report to CFO Anthony DiSilvestro, who said Mattel’s new leadership hire brings a strong track record of leading digital transformations and has proven experience across enterprise applications, customer-facing systems, and cybersecurity tools. 

“We look forward to the benefit of Sai’s expertise navigating complex technological landscapes and empowering innovation at Mattel,” DiSilvestro.
