Lipari Foods Gets AI-Enabled Inventory Management Lift
Lipari Foods, which manufactures fresh, natural, ethnic and specialty foods under brands such as Sabrina's, Backroad Country and Kitchen Ready, is now automating its inventory management processes.
Because Lipari supplies thousands of retailers with a wide assortment of products, it needed to overhaul its supply chain operations to increase visibility into inventory and demand planning.
As such, the company partnered with Relex to use its AI-enabled platform to consolidate planning efforts for Lipari's 23,000 SKUs across grocery, deli, bakery, natural and specialty categories.
Lipari Foods now uses integrated supply chain planning, replenishment, intraday recalculations, wholesale channel planning, seasonal planning, capacity planning and fresh optimization. Additionally, it gains access to supplier collaboration tools.

The technology allows Lipari's teams to better identify spoilage and stockout risks so it can respond more quickly to inventory needs and plan distribution. Using advanced analytics, the company can reduce manual efforts around capacity constraints and make automated adjustments, especially important for fresh goods.
"Our business is growing, and we need planning tools that keep up with the pace and complexity of our operation," Shaun Bunch, chief supply chain officer at Lipari Foods, said in a statement. "We manage a wide range of fresh and specialty products, so having reliable forecasts, automation that reduces manual work and better visibility into future inventory needs makes a real difference."
