VF Corp is tapping into the tech world for its latest big leadership move, appointing former Logitech head Bracken Darrell as its new president and CEO.

The company – which includes brands such as North FaceVans, Timberland, and Dickies – says Darrell’s new appointment is set to go into effect on July 17, 2023. Darrell spent around a decade as Logitech International S.A.’s president and CEO. In this new role, Darrell will be the 12th CEO in VF Corp’s 124-year history, the company said in a statement.

As part of the news, Benno Dorer, who has served as interim president and CEO since December 5, 2022, and a member of VF’s Board since 2017, will remain a board member, while Richard Carucci, a board member since 2009 and interim chair during this leadership transition period, has been appointed chair of the board.

“It’s an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to serve as president and CEO of VF,” Darrell said in a statement. “Like millions of people around the world, I love VF’s iconic brands. I’m so impressed by this organization’s sustained ability to keep its portfolio of brands at the forefront of culture over time during its 124-year history. I look forward to working closely with the board, leadership team and the talented associates across VF to build on the initiatives underway to strengthen business performance and drive strong and sustainable growth and shareholder value creation. I can’t wait to get to work.”

It’s a time of change and development for the lifestyle company. Last week, VF Corp launched a new 1.2 million square foot facility in Canada – the largest in its global network of 46 distribution centers. The center was designed with sustainability in mind, with energy-efficient lighting, submetering, recycled building materials, and 98% of construction waste diverted from landfill.
