Marzetti Selects Mark Carter to Lead Supply Chain Efforts
The Marzetti Co. has named Mark Cart chief supply chain officer, tasked with maintaining safety and quality measures while driving growth.
In the role, Cart leads the end-to-end supply chain organization for the specialty food manufacturer, which includes retail brands Marzetti dressings and dips, New York Baker garlic breads, and Sister Schubert’s dinner rolls.
The company also has exclusive license agreements for Olive Garden dressings, Chick-fil-A sauces and dressings, Buffalo Wild Wings sauces, Arby’s sauces, Subway sauces, and Texas Roadhouse steak sauces and frozen rolls.
He takes over for Luis Viso, who joined Marzetti as chief supply chain officer in 2023 and is set to retire.
Carter brings more than 25 years of experience leading supply chain operations across the consumer goods industry. He most recently served as chief supply chain officer for Schwan’s, overseeing a supply chain network that spanned 18 manufacturing sites.
Before that, he spent nearly two decades with Unilever in a variety of senior leadership roles, including SVP of supply chain for the North American ice cream business and head of supply chain operations for Canada.
“Mark is a strong addition to the Marzetti leadership team,” Dave Ciesinski, president and CEO of Marzetti, said in a statement. “He brings deep factory-based operational expertise combined with broad enterprise-level supply chain leadership. I am confident he is the right leader to continue the work we have done over the past three years to simplify our supply chain and deliver productivity gains that support our growth strategy.”
