Southern Glazer's Taps Steve Bronson as CIO

BevAlc distributor Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits has hired Steve Bronson to lead the company's digital transformation, including building out its technology roadmap. 

As chief information officer, Bronson will advance the company's OneTech function, overseeing end-to-end enterprise technology strategy and execution and working closely with the company's digital acceleration team. 

He will report to chief growth and strategy officer David Chaplin.

More About Bronson

Bronson brings more than 25 years of global leadership experience in technology, innovation and digital transformation, helping to modernize enterprises across food and beverage, retail, consumer goods, and high-tech verticals. 

He most recently served as McDonald's SVP of global technology infrastructure and operations, leading its tech transformation, which included partnering with Google to implement cloud-based, AI-enabled personalization across 40,000 restaurants worldwide. 

Bronson has also held other senior tech leadership roles with companies such as CDK Global, Nike and Anheuser-Busch InBev, overseeing ERP modernizations, supply chain upgrades and enterprise-wide cloud migrations.

According to LinkedIn, prior roles included:

  • Vice president, strategic enterprise technology at Nike
  • Director of data and BI, corporate functions, and global supply chain technology at AB InBev 

David Chaplin said in a statement that Bronson was hired for his experience in "driving large-scale transformation in complex, global organizations."
