Ralph Lauren Launches AI Chatbot Stylist
Combining cutting-edge AI with high fashion, Ralph Lauren has launched Ask Ralph, an AI-enabled chat tool that invites consumers to experience its brand in a more personal and immersive way.
Offering a customized shopping experience through user prompts, Ask Ralph arranges shoppable outfits pulled from available inventory within the Polo Ralph Lauren brand.
Ask Ralph was developed in partnership with Microsoft using its Azure OpenAI platform, which employs advanced conversational AI technology and natural language processing to analyze context, review open-ended prompts and offer recommendations similar to working with an in-store stylist.

"Whether getting ready for a first day of a new job, or creating the perfect look for a night out, Ask Ralph is about more than just discovery — it is about engaging consumers with what they love most about Ralph Lauren: our iconic, unique take on style, providing timeless head-to-toe looks that inspire them to step into our world," said David Lauren, chief branding and innovation officer with Ralph Lauren, in a statement.
By using conversational prompts such as "What should I wear to a concert?" or "How can I style my navy blue men's blazer?", Ask Ralph can visually share complete Polo Ralph Lauren looks with styling tips.
Consumers can also provide follow-up questions that will help refine recommendations to better match their personal style while making it easy to add to their shopping cart and purchase the head-to-toe look.
Ask Ralph is now accessible to Ralph Lauren app users in the United States on both Apple and Android devices. Ralph Lauren plans to develop new features based on early app feedback and intends to expand to additional platforms in other markets worldwide.
