PepsiCo is reorganizing its leadership as part of its business restructuring and refreshed brand identity to better position the company for growth.

Ram Krishnan will take on the role of CEO of PepsiCo North America, helping to accelerate the integration of its foods and beverages operations. The company said his experience across categories, geographies and functions will enable him to approach his work with an end-to-end, consumer-first mindset.

He will oversee several leaders, including:

  • Rachel Ferdinando, who remains CEO of the U.S. foods category
  • Mike Del Pozzo, who is being promoted to president of U.S. beverages and joins the PepsiCo executive committee
  • Gregg Roden, who continues to lead the North America supply chain team
  • Bryan Santee, who will take on the role of chief commercial officer, U.S.

Krishnan will also oversee food and beverage field sales; strategic partnerships and franchises; PepsiCo's newly integrated Texoma region — an interstate region in the U.S., split between Oklahoma and Texas — where it is piloting combined food and beverage operations; global foodservice; and PepsiCo Canada.

He takes over for Steven Williams, who will move into an EVP and global chief commercial officer and corporate affairs role. There, he will help build PepsiCo's unified selling organization and global growth strategy.

Furthermore, Athina Kanioura's role has expanded. In addition to her chief strategy and transformation officer duties, she will also lead the company's Latin America foods business with a digital-first, AI-enabled approach. She succeeds Paula Santilli, who will retire after a 35-year career at PepsiCo.
