Rachel Ferdinando Named CEO of PepsiCo Foods U.S.

Rachel Ferdinando has been named CEO of PepsiCo Foods U.S., according to an announcement on LinkedIn.  

In the role, Ferdinando will be tasked with overseeing all aspects of PepsiCo’s nearly $21 billion snack and convenient foods business in the U.S., which includes a portfolio of brands such as Lay’s, Doritos, Cheetos, Tostitos, Ruffles, Fritos, Stacy’s Pita Chips, SunChips, and Quaker Oats.

Ferdinando was promoted to the role, previously serving as the company’s president of PepsiCo Foods Canada where she oversaw HR, finance, customer development, field sales, marketing, supply chain, IT, R&D, foodservice, and strategy and transformation.

She’s been with PepsiCo since 2017, serving in a variety of leadership roles that spanned marketing, media, strategy, portfolio management, revenue, and brand partnership responsibilities. 

Ferdinando’s career also includes time spent at CPG Kimberly-Clark and bio pharma companies GSK and SmithKline Beecham Corporation.

She joins at a time when PepsiCo is optimizing its portfolio, expanding in the snack segment by acquiring such companies as Siete Foods and Sabra Dipping Company and Obela. Additionally, the company has become more targeted in its omnicommerce approach, using consumer behavior trends to influence omnichannel and personalization strategies.
