Nestlé Names Alfonso Gonzalez Loeschen CEO of Nespresso
Nestlé has hired Alfonso Gonzalez Loeschen to lead its Nespresso business.
Loeschen has been promoted to CEO after serving as the segment's North America leader since 2020. He takes on the role and joins the company's group executive board on Nov. 1.
In his previous role, Loeschen oversaw the coffee business's U.S., Canada and Mexico regions and led the expansion of the Nespresso Vertuo system.
He began his career with the company as an assistant manager in 1992 and has since worked across various leadership roles, including VP of Nestlé's U.S. beverage division and CMO of Nespresso.

Philipp Navratil, CEO of Nestlé, said in a statement that Loeschen was elevated to the new role for his "extensive expertise and deep understanding of the portioned coffee category, along with a results-focused approach and talent to inspire teams that will enable him to drive performance and execution."
Nestlé had its own leadership transition earlier this month, with Navratil taking over for Laurent Freixe, who was dismissed due to an undisclosed romantic relationship that breached the company's code of conduct.
This follows a series of leadership shuffles happening across the consumer goods space. Molson Coors named Rahul Goyal its CEO earlier this week, and Bic, Herr Foods and Khloud all replaced their top leaders.
