Filippo Catalano will be leading the company's global tech transformation.

Mondelēz International is looking to accelerate its global technology transformation to drive long-term growth, hiring Filippo Catalano to lead the efforts.

Catalano has been named the company’s chief information and digital officer, a role that reports directly to the Mondelēz CEO Van de Put. Catalano will help further advance the company’s enterprise-wide technology agenda, which is a critical enabler of its sustainable growth plan, said de Put.

“Filippo’s track record in driving digital transformation in leading consumer packaged goods companies will provide strong leadership to step-change the digital evolution of our business,” he added.

He joins from Reckitt, where he served as chief information and digitization officer. Throughout his three-plus years at the company, he re-platformed Reckitt’s tech stack to elevate omnichannel operations, leveraging technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics.

Catalano also spent five-plus years with Nestlé, serving first as its chief digital operations officer before moving up to Group CIO. There he helped oversee several tech transformations related to platforms, data, analytics, processes, and the e-commerce business. As part of this, he created a global hub in Barcelona and a digital tech innovation team in San Francisco.

Prior to that, he led digital transformations at Procter & Gamble, creating the architecture and strategy for introducing social collaboration across P&G’s operations, per his LinkedIn.

Catalano is a previous CIO of the Year finalist and was the opening keynote speaker at CGT’Analytics Unite in 2020.
