McCain Foods Names Tommy Thomas Head of Enterprise Architecture
McCain Foods, a manufacturer of frozen potato products, has hired Tommy Thomas to lead its enterprise technology efforts.
As head of enterprise architecture, Thomas will help design the way the company uses technology across various regions and functions to enable end-to-end business operations and support its goal of bringing an engineering culture into the organization, according to his statement on LinkedIn.
In the role, Thomas will spearhead the technology architecture for cloud and AI initiatives, promoting collaboration within the technology team and championing strategic technology solutions that support the company's growth and operational efficiency.

Thomas joins from Colgate-Palmolive, where he was most recently VP of enterprise architecture, emerging technology and cloud. In that role, he led a global team across architecture, engineering, UX and program management, scaled the company's generative AI strategy, and launched its “AI Hub” globally, according to LinkedIn.
Throughout his nearly two-decade tenure at the company, he worked across various demand planning, IT and analytics roles. He oversaw major digital transformations, including migrating critical systems to Google Cloud and architecting multi-year ERP and e-commerce platform consolidations while establishing robust DevSecOps standards — an approach that uses automation to deliver secure software at an accelerated pace.
