E.J. Gallo Winery is extending a consumer loyalty mobile app pilot after successful results.

The family-owned wine and spirits company partnered with Fetch Rewards for a loyalty program that lets consumers earn reward points for purchasing Gallo products, including from its Barefoot Wine, Apothic, La Marca, Black Box, and other brands.

Using the Fetch Rewards app, consumers accumulate points by submitting photos of their store and restaurant receipts, as well as linking digital receipts from online retailers. They can then redeem points for gift cards and other rewards.

In a September 2021 survey by eMarketer, more than two-thirds of consumers said grocery stores are the most valuable types of purchases to earn rewards, while just over half said the same of digital purchases. Fetch works with more than 500 global brands, and its app, available for at the Apple App or Google Play stores, is said to have 13 million active users.

"Loyalty and rewards apps offer powerful opportunities to forge deeper connections with our consumers while gaining understanding of their needs, and Fetch Rewards is an ideal partner for our company," said Stephanie Gallo, chief marketing officer for E. & J. Gallo Winery, in a statement. "We're excited to launch this partnership and reward shoppers for purchasing Gallo brands anywhere and everywhere they shop."
