Canada Goose Taps Alfredo C. M. Tan as Chief Digital & Information Officer

Alfredo C. M. Tan is the new chief digital and information officer at Canada Goose.

This August, Alfredo C. M. Tan takes over as chief digital and information officer at Canada Goose.

In the role, Tan will oversee the strategy, implementation, and adoption of Canada Goose’s consumer-facing digital platforms. He will help develop the company’s digital roadmap, build its digital capabilities, and oversee its data and AI strategy. 

Additionally, he will manage digital channels and the company’s IT, digital media and marketing, and consumer insights efforts.

He was previously with Loblaw Companies Ltd as SVP and managing director of retail media. Additionally, he was a founding team member of the Facebook and Instagram office in Canada and part of the executive leadership team in Canada. He also served as SVP of strategy, data, and digital products at Rogers Sports & Media. Prior to that, he was the first chief digital officer and chief innovation officer at WestJet Airlines.

Dani Reiss, chairman and CEO of Canada Goose, said Tan will help accelerate the company’s digital capabilities, drive operating efficiencies across the value chain, and enhance its consumers’ omnichannel shopping experience. 

“Alfredo brings significant global experience and a proven track record harnessing the power of technology to transform consumer experiences and deliver results,” said Reiss.

Tan is replacing Matt Blonder, who was hired for the newly-created role last year as part of a leadership team overhaul to align with the company’s five-year strategic growth plan.
