Post-It Notes

3M, which manufactures such brands as Post-it, Scotch, Scotch-Brite and Command, is optimizing its workflows across key areas of business, including customer service, finance, sales and marketing.

The company will deploy Microsoft's AI and digital capabilities to simplify processes, improve decision-making, strengthen customer experiences and enable greater employee productivity.

Use cases include AI agent-enabled workflows within areas like global business services to optimize customer orders with human-in-the-loop controls and custom monitoring dashboards with real-time visibility.

3M expects the efforts to reduce manual efforts, improve process speed and consistency and accelerate cash flow, ultimately freeing up 3M employees for higher-value work and enabling "scalable, auditable operations."

"At 3M, we view AI as a powerful tool that can accelerate growth, improve customer experiences and help our teams work more effectively," Jon Van Wyck, executive vice president and chief strategy officer, said in a statement.

Van Wyck said the collaboration supports that vision through "targeted optimization opportunities for our enterprise."
