Welch's Names Cees Talma CEO
Cees Talma is taking on the role of chief executive officer of Welch’s, effective immediately.
He will lead the cooperative of U.S. family farmers. The company makes grape juices, jams, jellies and spreads with grapes grown on its farms.
Talma replaces Trevor Bynum, who had led the company for nearly seven years during a period of transformational change. Tim Grow, Welch’s chairman of the board, said in a statement that Talma was hired for his deep understanding of the consumer.

Talma brings more than 30 years of global leadership experience across several industries, including food and beverage, consumer goods, and health and wellness. He has overseen acquisitions and implemented innovative go-to-market strategies.
He was previously the CEO for Nature’s Way, where he helped transform the $500 million legacy vitamin business into a modern food supplement company with a reshaped commercial and operational strategy, according to LinkedIn.
Before that, Cees was CEO at Stasher, a sustainability-focused container brand. He also held senior roles at SC Johnson, where he grew the home care business.
Talma began his career with Unilever, where he spent more than a decade, rising in rank to global VP roles where he ultimately oversaw the Europe beverages business.
