Ralph Lauren Promotes Naveen Seshadri to Global Chief Digital Officer

Naveen Seshadri has been with the company for a year and takes on an expanded role.

Ralph Lauren has promoted Naveen Seshadri to the role of global chief digital officer. 

Seshadri announced the news on LinkedIn, stating that his expanded role will allow him to focus on shaping “a truly connected digital ecosystem” that spans across all touchpoints for the company, including digital commerce, in-store technology, the global consumer experience and innovation.

“With a sharp focus on personalization, AI, platform modernization and cross-channel commercial growth, we’re building for the future with both magic and logic,” he said in the post. 

Through his various leadership roles, Seshadri has focused on data analytics, channel efficiency, customer journeys and maximizing ROI across generative AI, applied AI and other digital functions, per LinkedIn. 

He will be able to transition those skills to Ralph Lauren, which has been on a digital transformation journey that consist of strengthening its analytics capabilities to improve inventory management operations, with pilots in predictive buying models in Asia and Europe.

More About Seshadri 

Seshadri joined the company last year as its global head of consumer technology and digital commerce for the North America business.

He was previously the EVP, global retail for the consumer products segment of The Walt Disney Company. Prior to that, he served as its SPV of global head of digital and retail commerce. Seshadri also spent time as Foot Locker’s global chief digital officer and BJ’s VP of digital commerce and experience. 

Leadership Shifts

Prior to Naveen joining, Christopher Conrad was responsible for leading Ralph Lauren’s global technology and digital strategy and execution. Conrad departed the company at the beginning of the year to join Aritzia as its chief technology and information officer.

Ralph Lauren has been making a series of leadership changes, including naming a new COO at the beginning of 2025 as part of a multi-year strategic succesion strategy. Bob Ranftl took over the role following Jane Nielsen’s planned departure. Mercedes Abramo took over for Ranftl in March as regional CEO for the company’s North America business. 

As part of his COO duties, Ranftl will oversee IT and logistics for the company.
