Jones Soda in Search of CEO Following David Knight’s Departure

Paul Norman said the company will remain focused on value-creation strategies and efficient operations as it looks to identify a new permanent CEO.

Jones Soda is searching for a new president and CEO due to David Knight’s departure from the company. 

Knight had been in the role since June 2023. He joined the company from CFH Bioscience, where he helped build a beverage division from the ground up as chief beverage officer, according to his LinkedIn

In the interim, chairman of the board Paul Norman will serve as president and CEO. He has served as director since 2019 and chairman since 2022. Norman was Kellogg’s North America president from 2015-2018 and brings experience with brand building in the food and beverage sector. 

He said the company will remain focused on value-creation strategies and efficient operations as it looks to identify a new permanent CEO.

Jones Continues Leadership Shuffle

Earlier this year, the company announced it was installing a new operations team to help scale innovation and support Jones’ business expansion goals. 

This included hiring Eric Bittner as chief operating officer and bringing over expertise from companies like Keurig Dr Pepper, PepsiCo, and Niagara Bottling. Additionally, Jones named Mary Money its director of new product development and commercialization. 

Last year, the company also hired Jerry Goldner as its latest chief growth officer to create and lead programs focused on driving financial initiatives and sales.
