Kate Spade — owned by parent company Tapestry, which also includes the Coach and Stuart Weitzman brands — has a new leader at the helm. Eva Erdmann will be taking on the role of CEO and brand president.
In the role, Erdmann will be tasked with overseeing the Kate Spade business as a whole, helping to drive accelerated innovation and consumer relationships through sustainable, global growth.
She joins the company from L’Oréal, where she has served as the company’s global president of Urban Decay Cosmetics over the last six years. Prior to that, Erdmann held marketing and global manager positions at Dior, according to her LinkedIn.
Erdmann said Kate Spade has significant expansion opportunities. She will replace Liz Fraser in October, reporting to Tapestry CEO Joanne Crevoiserat and joining Tapestry’s executive committee.
Tapestry CEO Joanne Crevoiserat said Erdmann will bring skills as a global brand-builder with a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving consumer landscape and the ability to cultivate desire, cultural relevance, and passionate communities for distinctive luxury brands.
“I am confident she is the right leader to unlock the significant runway for growth at the iconic Kate Spade brand,” she said.
