Essity Hires Ilham Smaali to Lead New Supply Chain Enablement Function
Hygiene and health company Essity, which manufactures brands such as Tempo, Tork, Actimove and Cutimed, hired Ilham Smaali to lead supply chain efforts.
Smaali will take on the role of chief supply chain officer on Dec. 31, overseeing the newly established function of supply chain enablement. She will help scale sourcing and fulfillment operations, leading functional transformation and standardization efforts to achieve a decentralized supply chain and production protocols.

Smaali joined Essity in 2023, most recently serving as its VP of global planning and logistics. She brings a strong background in global manufacturing and supply chain leadership across the consumer goods and retail space with companies such as the Estée Lauder Cos., Nike and Procter & Gamble.
At P&G, she designed and launched an end-to-end supply chain synchronization program for eight hair care production sites, according to LinkedIn. Before working at Essity, she was most recently Estée Lauder's VP of global manufacturing.
"Her expertise and broad experience, combined with her proven leadership skills, make her the right person to lead supply chain enablement at Essity," Ulrika Kolsrud, president and CEO of Essity, said in a statement.
As part of the leadership move, Smaali joins the executive management team.
