Acoustic guitar manufacturer C. F. Martin & Co. has announced that Eric Williams will join its leadership team as its new senior director of IT.
Now overseeing the company’s technology efforts, Williams brings over 25 years of experience within the information technology sector, including 12 years as senior director of enterprise applications and analytics for Quaker Chemical.
He also previously consulted in the enterprise performance management space, implementing commercial-driven decision support for various Fortune 500 clients, including in the consumer products industry.
Williams' previous experience also includes manufacturing, and according to CFO Nathan Eckhart, Williams’ background in IT and data analytics aligns with the company’s strategic direction.
"I grew up in a musical family where my grandfather was a Juilliard graduate and musician who worked for Steinway Pianos, so I know firsthand the lasting pride that comes from being a part of something much greater than yourself. Having the opportunity to continue that tradition with such an iconic brand in Martin Guitar is incredibly fulfilling for me and my family," said Williams.
C. F. Martin & Co. is a nearly two-hundred-year-old company that stakes its claim to fame by supplying guitars for artists such as Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Neil Young, John Mayer, and Seth Avett.
