CGT's League of Leaders Goes Live

11/8/2017

A group of leading consumer goods executives convened in Orlando, Florida, last week for the inaugural meeting of Consumer Goods Technology's League of Leaders.

Founding members from such top companies as Conair Corp., Edgewell Personal Care, Kimberly-Clark, Johnson & Johnson, Newell Brands and PepsiCo shared their ideas and best practices for addressing today's key business challenges.

Members took turns leading interactive discussions through a series of 20-minute presentations covering critical topics such as digital transformation, the full impact of e-commerce on the consumer goods organization, the changing dynamics of manufacturer-retailer relations and the growing importance of analytics for driving growth.

They also broke up into smaller groups for more intimate workshops designed to facilitate candid discussions about the personal challenges they face in their roles.

CGT then used the opportunity to announce the winners of its annual Business & Technology Awards, which recognize consumer goods companies and executives for envisioning and executing transformational business and technology initiatives within their organizations and the industry as a whole.

To address the growing need for timely and practical information and solutions in the consumer goods industry, CGT introduced the League of Leaders, an elite task force of high-level, forward-thinking executives who will learn together and lead the industry by identifying best practices for addressing the myriad changes that must take place to existing business models.

The League of Leaders will meet twice each year for two days of candid, insightful presentations and related workshops designed to foster critical thinking and productive discussion. Membership is open to executives who have demonstrated thought leadership and a commitment to industry-wide learning.

The next meeting will be held in May 2018, at the corporate headquarters of League member Oracle in Redwood Shores, Calif.
