Campbell Soup Company has created a new cross-functional enterprise transformation office and tapped Dan Poland to lead it.

Most recently executive VP and chief supply chain officer, Poland takes on the role of executive VP and chief enterprise transformation officer, a new title for the CPG. He will continue to report to Mark Clouse, president and CEO of Campbell’s.

The new office is based out of Campbell’s Camden, NJ, headquarters, but the work is throughout the supply chain, a company spokesperson told CGT. In addition to the supply chain, it will impact digital transformation, integrated business planning, innovation process, food safety and quality, and sustainability.

Poland has been with Campbell’s since 2022, where he’s led procurement, food safety and quality, occupational health and safety, engineering, planning and logistics, all manufacturing sites, and their network of contract manufacturers. He joined from Kind Snacks, where he served as chief operating officer.

He also previously held a range of supply chain leadership roles at Pinnacle Foods, WhiteWave Foods, Danone, McCain Foods, and Kraft Heinz. He began his career at Nestle and Gerber.

Campbell’s Supply Chain Changes

The creation of the enterprise office marks the next step in Campbell’s supply chain transformation, which includes investments in training and new roles, expanded capacity, and the closure of some plants.

The company is also optimizing its portfolio and looking to scale its direct-store delivery model. The Noosa yogurt brand, which it had picked up as part of the Sovos Brand acquisition earlier this year, was sold this week to Lakeview Farms for an undisclosed amount.

(It’s also dropping soup — but just from its name.)

As part of Poland’s role change and the new office, Cassandra Green has been named senior VP and head of supply chain. She’ll report to Poland and oversee manufacturing, procurement, customer logistics and planning, operational excellence, and manufacturing and supply chain category leads.

Green joined the company in 2010 and most recently served as senior VP of manufacturing and supply chain category leadership.
