Wella Company Hires Julia Anderson to Lead Digital Strategy
The Wella Co. — a global beauty company that manufactures such brands as Opi, Sebastian Professional and Clairol — has hired Julia Anderson as its chief digital and information officer, according to an announcement on LinkedIn.
She brings a 20-year leadership background in global tech and data strategy and business modernization. The company said her expertise in enterprise modernization, AI and cybersecurity will help Wella accelerate growth and drive customer-focused innovation.
Anderson joins the company from The Campbell's Co., where she served as chief technology and information officer. She's also held a variety of senior leadership positions in IT with companies such as Smithfield Foods, H.J. Heinz Co., PepsiCo and Kraft Foods.
This follows Wella's appointment of Eric O'Toole as U.S. president earlier this week.
O'Toole brings leadership experience across personal care, consumer goods and retail. He previously led the North America business unit for Edgewell Personal Care as its president, a role in which he modernized brand marketing and strategic selling, investing in advanced data analytics to support efforts, according to LinkedIn.
Additionally, he reshaped Walmart's e-commerce sporting goods business model and executed a strategic turnaround for Evian N.A., an independent business unit of Groupe Danone.
