CEO Hein Schumacher said the company had already introduced 500 AI applications as part of the strategy to reach new levels of efficiency. “But as AI matures and becomes increasingly intelligent and intuitive, we see so much more potential,” he said. “Now, as part of our action plan to deliver faster growth, drive productivity, and dial up performance, we’re going deeper.”

As part of this, Unilever will use its Horizon3 global AI lab to analyze areas where artificial intelligence can have a significant transformational impact and deliver high-value ROI.
