Tyson Foods Names Jeff Schomburger CEO
Tyson Foods has named Jeff Schomburger as its next president and CEO.
Effective Oct. 4, Schomburger will succeed Donnie King, who has been with the company for 43 years. During his tenure as CEO, King navigated the COVID-19 pandemic, introduced operational efficiencies by consolidating staff at the company headquarters and improved execution across the business.
Schomburger brings extensive experience across customer and consumer brand roles, having held multiple senior leadership positions during a 35-year career with Procter & Gamble. In 2019, he retired from P&G after serving as its global sales officer. Schomburger has been a member of the Tyson Foods board since 2016.

Chairman John H. Tyson said Schomburger’s experience will help the company accelerate its strategic priorities and unlock new ways to win with customers and consumers.
Accelerating AI Adoption
Schomburger said he will help the organization "capitalize on emerging opportunities through AI accelerations."
Tyson’s work with AI thus far has included installing generative capabilities through Amazon Web Services as part of a multiyear digital transformation roadmap to improve how consumers discover its products and recipes.
Through the technology, the company has been able to gather invaluable insights into the needs of its foodservice customers and analyze search patterns and interactions to better understand and anticipate customer demands.
