Tracy Schaefer has been promoted to senior VP and CIO of Conagra Brands.
Most recently global VP of business services, Schaefer joined Conagra in 2001 as a financial analyst. She’s served in a range of leadership roles across various functions, and Conagra pointed to her experience leading transformative, enterprise-wide initiatives in announcing her new role.
"Tracy has a strong track record of delivering excellent results in finance, information technology and global business services," said Dave Marberger, chief financial officer of Conagra Brands, in a statement. "Her deep understanding of the business, strategic mindset, and exceptional leadership skills will all be critical as we continue to work across the enterprise to deliver on our strategic plans."

The Chicago-based Conagra Brands is the No. 58 publicly owned consumer goods company and includes such brands as Birds Eye, Marie Callender's, Banquet, Healthy Choice, and Boomchickapop in its portfolio.
Mindy Simon was most recently its CIO and is departing the company to join consulting firm Aon in October as chief operating officer, according to an Aon press release.
