Tip of the Spear Technology: Jisp

UK-based Jisp creates “frictionless” shopping experiences by creating apps that use near field communication (NFC) technology to let shoppers access product information, receive promotional offers and make purchases via their phones. The app also lets retailers and brands communicating with relevant consumers in between trips to the store.
The technology was showcased at last week's GlobalShop event in Chicago as part of a business arrangement with Unified Resources in Display's new Brand Experience Lab.
