More retailers are installing Stride Rite’s Fit Zone footwear measurement machines in order to account for social distancing in today’s new retail store.
The Fit Zone by Stride Rite scanner, first introduced in 2018, produces a 3D model of a child's foot in less than five seconds as part of a contactless experience. Scanners are sanitized after each use.
Dillard's, which installed The Fit Zone by Stride Rite in 10 stores earlier this year, has committed to doubling the number of scanners by October. Scheels grew its Fit Zone fleet by 400%, with installations throughout the Midwest, and independent retailers Vincennes & Terra and Michelson's Shoes are also using the scanners.
“Stride Rite is built on trust and community. The Fit Zone by Stride Rite is a way for us to give our Stride Rite family what they need during these challenging times: a safe and comfortable experience to find the best fitting shoes,” said Stride Rite marketing director Meg Forno.
Stride Rite, a division of Vida Shoes International, is distributed throughout U.S. specialty retailers, independent and department stores and online.
