SpartanNash Names Ed Rybicki CIO, Brett Hoffman CISO
Food company SpartanNash is bolstering its tech leadership, naming Ed Rybicki as SVP and chief information officer and Brett Hoffman as VP and chief information security officer.
SpartanNash operates two complementary business segments: grocery retail and wholesale food. It operates nearly 200 brick-and-mortar grocery stores, primarily under the banners of Family Fare, Martin's Super Markets and D&W Fresh Market. It also operates dozens of pharmacies and fuel centers.
Rybicki will manage SpartanNash's technology team, with a specific focus on innovation, operational efficiency and growth.
He brings 20 years of experience, most recently serving as the chief information and technology officer at agricultural supplier Mastronardi Produce. He also previously served in senior IT positions at Vyaire Medical, Merieux Nutrisciences and Delphi.
Hoffman joins Rybicki's leadership team, leading cybersecurity strategy across retail, supply chain and corporate environments.
He most recently served as VP of enterprise security solutions and CISO for Inspire Security Solutions. He also served as global CISO at MillerKnoll and held cybersecurity leadership roles at HealthEquity, Amway and Corewell Health.

SpartanNash’s Transformation Strategy
They will both be part of the IT department, reporting to EVP and CFO Jason Monaco as part of the company's newly combined finance, IT and strategy organization.
Monaco said in a statement that the two hires have a long track record of success that will aid SpartanNash in enabling transformational change while it drives growth and productivity.
