Ram Krishnan will succeed Kirk Tanner as the CEO of PepsiCo Beverages North America, PepsiCo announced. Krishnan is currently serving as the CEO of International Beverages and the chief commercial officer for PepsiCo.

In his current roles, Krishnan has been heading up the company's global concentrate group, franchise operations, global beverage group, SodaStream, Beyond the Bottle, and the global commercial organization, touching on everything from customer strategy and revenue management to go-to-market, e-commerce, and PepsiCo’s venture projects.

Since joining PepsiCo in 2006, he's held a number of senior leadership roles, including CEO of PepsiCo's APAC region, SVP and general manager of PepsiCo's global Walmart customer team, and chief marketing officer of Frito-Lay North America. Before joining PepsiCo, Krishnan spent six years at Cadillac.

Tanner is retiring from PepsiCo after 32 years with the company. Since joining in 1992, he's held several leadership roles across sales, operations, customer marketing, distribution, and channel development working in many U.S. and international locations. He assumed the role of CEO for PepsiCo Beverages North America in 2019.

Tanner will join The Wendy's Company as CEO following his departure from PepsiCo.

Commenting on the appointment, Ramon Laguarta, PepsiCo Chairman and CEO, praised Krishnan’s “vast experience leading International Beverages and our global commercial agenda, paired with his roots in North America senior executive roles.”
