Our Value Proposition
The closing of the May issue marks a bittersweet time for CGT. Over the past three years, Tim Clark has been a valuable asset to our team, spearheading our editorial efforts and helping deliver the benchmark insights and profiles you have come to expect. Just recently, Tim accepted a new position outside of Edgell Communications, making this issue his last. While I am obviously disappointed to see Tim go, I wish him nothing but the best in his new position.
One of my goals as Publisher is to ensure that you receive tangible value from your involvement with CGT. This includes every page of the magazine that you read, our events that you attend and the insights that you rely on us for. So it is with great excitement that I announce the most recent addition to our team: Kara Romanow, formerly research director for the consumer goods industry at AMR Research, is joining CGT as Executive Editor. Kara's unmatched understanding on the industry will help fuel our coverage in the magazine and enhance the content at our events.
Beginning with the June issue, Kara will lead two editorial features going forward. The first is a one-on-one interview with an industry executive. Next month, a profile on Jim Noble, CIO for the Altria Group. The second feature is a customized research study that provides data and analysis around pertinent industry topics.
Beyond the pages of the magazine, Kara will help us create a better forum for communication and peer-to-peer networking among industry leaders. We recently launched CGT Connects, a series of intimate half-day meetings throughout the country, hosting New York City events in April and May. In addition, the launch of our September Growth & Innovation Forum adds to our June Sales & Marketing Summit and our October Conference, providing you with opportunities to learn from your peers and build important business relationships.
I welcome your feedback as to how we can become a more valuable partner to you and I look forward to your continued engagement with CGT!
