Health and wellness company Nutrabolt, which includes an energy and protein portfolio of brands such as Bloom, C4 and Xtend, is tapping into AI-enabled image recognition (IR) technology to automate field merchandising and retail execution.

The company has expanded its partnership with Repsly, which began in 2020, to support existing use of its mobile field rep app and analytics platform with IR tools that allow for photo-driven audits, real-time insights and automated reporting.

As Nutrabolt’s portfolio grew, the company sought a more efficient way to track SKU availability, pricing and out-of-stock data across its retail and distributor network.

This eliminates the need for manual data entry while improving accuracy and expediting operations by enabling instant uploads, consolidation and analysis of thousands of retail store photos, according to the company.

The platform is designed to serve as a single source of truth for both IR and non-IR data and brings benefits such as expedited audits, reduced human errors and increased visibility into retail execution.

Hagen Panton, VP of retail development and sales capability at Nutrabolt, said in a statement that the partnership has revolutionized how its teams work in the field by replacing timely and often inaccurate manual data entry, simplifying its tracking process, and making store visits more efficient and effective.

“Our reps spend less time on data entry and more time making data-informed decisions,” he added.
