L'Oreal Group Chairman and CEO Named WWD Beauty Inc 2015 Visionary of the Year

12/11/2015
L'Oreal announces that Jean-Paul Agon, L'Oreal Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, has been honored with the 2015 WWD Beauty Inc Visionary of the Year award in recognition of his enduring leadership of the number one beauty company in the world.

Agon was honored at an award ceremony held on December 10 in New York.

"I accept this distinction with great joy and share it with the entire L'Oreal family. More than ever before, my responsibility as CEO is not only to be the 'pathfinder', but to make sure we are agile and nimble enough to transform as quickly as necessary. In this fascinating world, speed of transformation is the name of the game."

One of only five global CEO's in L'Oreal's 106-year history, Jean-Paul Agon has spent his entire career with the company. Agon's success is rooted in his vision for inventing a new L'Oreal for the 21st century: more universal, more digital and more sustainable. Through a series of ambitious global commitments Agon has organized the company to attract its next billion consumers from emerging markets, meet the beauty needs of consumers wherever they are in the world through his strategy of universalization, transform its relationship with consumers through a full-scale digital transformation, and grow its business sustainably, ethically and responsibly through a program he launched in 2013 called Sharing Beauty With All.
