Lands’ End Unveils New Collection on Facebook Live

Lands’ End used Facebook Live last week to introduce a new denim line designed to fit various body types. Products were discussed and modeled by Lands’ End employees. The event generated almost 10,000 views.

Designed based on consumer feedback, the new fall 2018 collection includes jeans for curvy figures and fabrics selected to stay cool in warm weather and maintain body heat during cooler months. The Facebook Messenger presentation included a Q&A with denim designer Molly Schrott. Participants who joined the Facebook event also had a chance to win a pair of jeans.

"Comfort and confidence are two of the most important factors for women when it comes to jeans, which is why we focused on fit and fabric technology," said Schrott. "Our designers spent months reviewing customers' feedback, conducting fit tests and studying every detail in our previous jeans, as well as our new styles."

Lands' End updated its core indigo fabric with cooling and warming technology. Yarns incorporate cotton and hollow core polyester, which maintain comfort by trapping heat in winter and providing breathability during summer. The fabric also offers excellent stretch while maintaining recovery, avoiding saggy knees following a day of wear.

Styles are available in regular, petite, tall and plus sizes. All are priced under $100.

Back in the fall, Lands’ End also staged a live Facebook event on "Cyber Monday" called “12 Hours of Santa.” The campaign featured “St. Nick’s Picks,” 12 gifts offered at one-day-only prices. The offers were also shared during a Twitter event where participants had a chance to win Lands’ End gift cards.
