Haleon has named Richard Manso as its U.S. chief marketing officer.

Manso will lead the British multinational consumer healthcare company's integrated U.S. marketing strategy, advancing how it connects with consumers in the moments where health decisions happen. He will work across categories and global teams to coordinate data, technology and human insights, reinforcing Haleon's ability to provide more personalized, transparent and relevant health experiences.

His appointment comes at a time when individuals are turning toward more self-directed, active roles in managing their well-being as they increasingly seek seamless, personalized and on-demand experiences, giving consumer health marketers a key role in driving trust.

Manso's focus will be on strengthening modern marketing capabilities across the U.S. business to drive growth within and across categories and advancing priority areas such as GLP-1s, as well as emerging platforms such as women's and pediatric health. He will also support Haleon's goals to build a more connected and insight-driven marketing ecosystem that reflects how today's consumers engage with health.

In this role, Manso will work closely with Nathalie Gerschtein, CEO U.S. and president North America, and the U.S. leadership team to accelerate Haleon's expansion into a more agile and consumer-focused organization.

"Consumers are taking a more active role in managing their health — and that's raising expectations for the brands they trust. At Haleon, we see an opportunity to rethink how we engage — making it more personal, transparent, and connected to the moments where health decisions happen," Gerschtein said in a media release. "Richard brings a forward-looking perspective at the intersection of marketing, data and technology that will help us continue to evolve and deliver better everyday health with humanity."

Manso most recently served in senior leadership roles at Google, where he led large-scale B2B marketing initiatives and helped drive adoption of data and AI-enabled marketing solutions. His background also includes leadership roles in consumer brands and digital strategy.

Manso assumed the role on April 27.
