Godiva Taps E-Commerce for Online Growth
According to an article on Ecommerce News, Godiva is expanding online by opening an online chocolate confectionery store in the United Kingdom. The luxury Belgian chocolatier has chosen eCommera and its cloud base e-commerce platform DynamicCommerce, which is powered by Demandware.
The United Kingdom will be the fourth country where it sells its goods online.
One of the features of DynamicCommerce that’s specifically handy for Godiva, is shipping to multiple addresses. It allows customers to ship to several addresses in a single order, which can be ideal for corporate gifts. According to Sarah Hawkes, senior strategic merchandise manager at Godiva, the Belgian chocolatier chose eCommera as their long term partner, because “they have proven experience in getting brands to market quickly. As well as having the right technology they worked closely with us to help set our strategy for expansion across Europe – which was a key differentiator. We are now confident that we have the right plans and the right technology to deliver our international growth ambitions.”
