Fabletics Invests in Supply Chain Planning to Expand Footprint
Fabletics is investing in its supply chain planning with a new partnership.
The activewear brand has tapped Blue Yonder's supply chain planning solutions, including demand planning, allocation and replenishment, merchandise financial planning and size scaling, to expand its global footprint.
The implementation will be supported by Plantensive, a Blue Yonder partner and supply chain planning solutions provider.
Fabletics is betting that Blue Yonder’s supply chain planning solutions, once implemented, will enhance inventory management, demand forecasting and merchandise distribution across its e-commerce, retail, dropship and wholesale channels, according to a news release.
The technology will leverage datasets and algorithms to provide inventory recommendations across each of its brands, allowing for more precise allocation down to size, reducing excess stock and markdowns.
Additionally, with size scaling, Fabletics expects to conduct low-level, detailed analysis at appropriate intervals to get the right sizes to each location while decreasing excess, fringe-sized assortments.
Merchandise financial planning tools will also help align strategic goals with execution to optimize inventory profitability and productivity.
Improved planning processes are also expected to support sustainability efforts by minimizing waste and ensuring inventory is positioned effectively to meet demand.
