CGT Bolsters Editorial Leadership

11/30/2016

EnsembleIQ announced today that it has appointed Peter Breen editor-in-chief of Consumer Goods Technology. He will be charged with directing the editorial staff, as well as building audience engagement with CGT’s event and media programs.

Breen has served as managing director of content for the Path to Purchase Institute since its founding in 2003. He most recently acted as lead editor of course development for Path to Purchase Leadership University. Before helping to launch the Institute, he spent four years as editor and managing editor of PROMO magazine.

In a related move, Kara Romanow has been named CGT's director of communities. In this newly created position, Romanow will be responsible for growth and development of share groups, event content and attendance, new League of Leaders and StratConn programs (both modeled after Path to Purchase Institute properties) and developing overall awareness for the brand.

A 10-year editorial veteran of CGT, Kara previously led the publication’s editorial coverage of industry trends for the print, digital and event properties.

“These are two great moves for our brand,” noted CGT brand director, Albert Guffanti. “We’re redoubling our editorial efforts, and having Peter and Kara in these roles will help us reach more people with even better information than ever before.”
