Vikram Somaya Named Chief Data & Analytics Officer of Kenvue

The company has been on a journey to bolster automation and implementing new technologies since its separation from Johnson & Johnson.

Kenvue, which manufactures such brands as Tylenol, Band-Aid, and Neutrogena, has named Vikram Somaya as chief data and analytics officer.

In the new role at Kenvue, Somaya will be tasked with advancing the company's AI capabilities, enterprise data strategy and governance, intelligent automation, and data science. Additionally, he will help drive the company’s digital transformation, driving growth using data and analytics to scale products and services.

Somaya brings over 26 years of experience in data and analytics at companies such as PepsiCo — where he previously served as SVP, chief data and analytics officer — ESPN, Nielsen, and The Weather Channel. 

“Vikram brings to Kenvue a wealth of experience and expertise in global data and analytics, product development, and AI,” said Kenvue’s chief technology and data officer Bernando Tavares in an email with CGT. “He has a proven track record of building and scaling data-driven businesses across some of the world's largest corporations and startups.”

Kenvue’s Data Transformation

The company has been on a journey to simplify its organization while bolstering automation and implementing new technologies since its separation from Johnson & Johnson in 2023. Last year, Kenvue said it would be allocating $275 million toward upgrading its IT infrastructure to expedite and improve decision-making.

Since then, it has progressed on a new data framework that deploys data action teams to ensure the company is meeting sustainability mandates and using clean data.
