SpartanNash has named Erin Storm as SVP and CMO.
She’ll lead the company’s marketing function, including private label, retail marketing programs, e-commerce and digital experience, creative services, shopper insights, and loyalty.
Storm was most recently VP of commercial strategy at Kellanova, where she spent nearly two decades. Previous titles include VP of marketing, where she oversaw brand and innovation across the $3 billion salty category for brands such as Pringles, Cheez-It, and Club Crackers.
SpartanNash operates two complementary business segments: food wholesale and grocery retail. It operates 147 brick-and-mortar grocery stores, primarily under the banners of Family Fare, Martin's Super Markets and D&W Fresh Market. It also operates dozens of pharmacies and fuel centers.
Its global supply chain network includes wholesale independent and chain grocers, national retail brands, e-commerce platforms, and U.S. military commissaries and exchanges.
SpartanNash CEO Tony Sarsam pointed to her past success in growing demand for popular household brands.
"She will play a pivotal role in driving brand awareness for our retail banners and OwnBrands portfolio, capturing market share, and leveraging consumer insights for product innovation,” he said in a statement.
