Perdue Helps ShopRite Hawk Healthier Chicken

The No Antibiotics Ever rotisserie chicken rolled out in March to all ShopRite stores in packaging co-branded with the ShopRite Kitchen and Perdue logos. The pre-cooked chickens come in "oven roasted" and "barbecue" flavors, are raised cage free without steroids or hormones, and are fed no animal byproducts, according to the retailer.

In-store stanchion signs positioned near the product, features in March weekly circulars and multiple Facebook updates have spotlighted the new item with a "rotisserie-style chicken raised cage free" message.

ShopRite has also been showcasing a promotional video on its YouTube channel that stars Perdue chairman (and regular spokesperson) Jim Perdue. "Shoppers today are concerned with how their food is raised. No Antibiotics Ever [chicken] addresses that concern," Perdue boasts in the video.
