PepsiCo Hires New CIO
Beverage and snack giant PepsiCo has hired a new CIO. Jody Davids took over in April as senior vice president and global chief information officer. Davids was hired to replace Robert Dixon, who CIO reports is retiring from the company.
Davids joined the company from agricultural retailer Agrium Inc., where she worked since April 2014. At Agrium she led a transformation of Agrium’s IT organization, improving service delivery, integration and costs.
She has also held CIO roles at Best Buy Co., Cardinal Health, and was the Director of Information Technology at Nike.
Davids leads PepsiCo’s Business + Information Solutions (BIS) function. BIS delivers all information technology to PepsiCo through a network of 3,700 IT associates worldwide. The BIS focus is on delivering and supporting capabilities that improve business processes, enable associates to connect and collaborate more easily, collect and mine data for analytical insights, and enhance performance across all aspects of PepsiCo’s value chain.
Davids's professional associations include serving on the board of Premier Inc., which provides performance improvement services to hospitals and other healthcare organizations.
Davids's earned a bachelor’s degree and MBA from San Jose State University. She is based in Plano, Texas.
