Macy’s will have a new chief information officer this August, promoting Keith Credendino to the role.

As CIO, he will be delivering tech solutions on a global scale, transforming the organization into a data-driven enterprise with modernized systems and new efficiencies that translate to improved omnichannel customer experiences.

Credendino is currently the company’s SVP of technology product development, customer service, a role in which he’s currently overseeing Macy’s checkout modernization efforts. He joined Macy’s in 2022 and has focused on elevating the online and in-store consumer experience. He helped launch Macy’s digital marketplace and increased personalization efforts, establishing IT and infrastructure upgrades that support redesigns across macys.com and bloomingdales.com, and their wedding and baby registries.

Previously, he was SVP of digital technology and enterprise data for Inspire Brands, a multi-brand global restaurant company. In that role, he managed consumer-facing experiences across mobile, web, and loyalty, and also oversaw CRM and cloud-native big data efforts. He’s also spent time as a technology executive for such companies as The Home Depot, IHG, and Cox Enterprises.

Credendino joins the corporate strategy group and takes over for Laura Miller, who is retiring. He will report to Adrian V. Mitchell, COO and CFO.

During her three-year tenure at Macy’s, Miller built a technology leadership team and helped modernize tech systems and operations as well as enhanced omnichannel digital offerings.

“As our new CIO, Keith will continue to simplify and modernize our technology stack as part of our company’s growth strategy, ‘A Bold New Chapter,’” said Mitchell. “There is still much work to be done and Tony Spring, our chairman and chief executive officer, our board of directors, and I are confident that with Keith’s authentic, collaborative, and results-oriented leadership style, he will help lead Macy’s, Inc. into the future as an even more agile company, responsive to today’s discerning consumer.”
