LG Electronics Adopts Global ERP System
LG Electronics successfully implements the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 from Oracle Korea in six countries worldwide. By integrating its regional operations onto a unified Oracle-based system, LG Electronics is expected to be able to optimize collaboration, standardize global processes, maximize competitiveness and better respond to customer inquiries.
"We realized we had to respond quickly to take advantage of technological advancements, and we decided to implement a single global instance of the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 as our business management platform," says Kim Tae Keuk, CIO, LG Electronics. "Oracle offers comprehensive support and ensures the success of the deployment, and the new system will allow us to better compete in the global market."
Business processes and systems across four main business areas were integrated to ensure smooth flow of information through the company. LG Electronics has currently completed the implementation of global ERP system in its Korea offices and its overseas offices in Australia, England, Germany, Indonesia and Jordan. By 2010, LG Electronics will complete the worldwide integration into a global single instance.
