Kimberly-Clark Names New President for Consumer Business

Kimberly-Clark Corporation has named Larry Allgaier group president of Kimberly-Clark North America, reporting to Mike Hsu, president and chief operating officer. In his new role, Allgaier will lead Kimberly-Clark's $8 billion North American consumer business, with brands such as Huggies, Cottonelle, and Depend.

"Larry is an outstanding leader with a passion for the consumer products industry. As the leader of our North American consumer business, he will drive strong performance and long-term shareholder value as we lead the world in essentials for a better life," said Hsu. "Larry's strong track record for delivering sustainable, profitable growth and championing innovation will enable him to effectively lead the largest business unit in Kimberly-Clark's portfolio."

Prior to joining K-C, Allgaier held senior leadership roles at Mars Inc., which he joined in 2012. Most recently, he was president of the newly formed Mars Petcare Veterinary Health Group. Before that, he was president of the $4 billion North America Petcare business. Prior to Mars, Allgaier was global head of Novartis' Over the Counter Medicines Unit, where he was responsible for over 200 brands in more than 50 countries across six regions.

Allgaier began his consumer career at Procter & Gamble, spending 20 years in various leadership roles including product supply, brand management and general management and regional assignments in Japan and Poland. He has over seven years of experience in baby care in North America and Asia, including as vice president and general manager of the North America Baby Care business.

Kimberly-Clark Corp. ranks 27th on CGT's list of Top 100 Consumer Goods Companies for 2016.
