Invafresh Names Andrew Cron Chief Data Officer

Grocery tech platform Invafresh has named Andrew Cron its chief data officer. 

Cron will be helping to lead the company’s expansion, tapping AI-powered technology to assist grocery retailers optimize merchandising and replenishment operations.

Tim Spencer, CEO at Invafresh, said Cron will help strengthen the company’s capabilities in AI-enabled technologies to deliver value for consumers across the supply chain, customer service, labor efficiencies, sustainability, and decision-making.

Cron joins the company from Kroger’s retail media company 84.51, where he served as senior vice president, chief scientist. Leading a 100-member, cross-functional team of researchers, data scientists, and engineers, Cron helped to lead the company’s R&D, data analytics, and data monetization efforts across in-store and supply chain operations.

Prior to Kroger, Andrew held senior data scientist roles at Citadel LLC, Weinrub Analytics, and MaxPoint. He brings a comprehensive background as an executive-level data scientist and tech thought leader with experience driving technology-powered business transformations.
