Henkel has launched a 70,000-square-foot Technology Center for its adhesives business in order to ramp up innovation efforts across 800 industry segments.
The Bridgewater, New Jersey, facility provides an interactive experience in the form of an infinity room that displays the company’s most innovative adhesives solutions. These innovations include sustainable packaging in the CPG space, digital maintenance solutions, sustainable palletizing, manufacturing upgrades, and more.
Michael Todd, VP of innovation and new business development at Henkel Adhesive Technologies, said innovation is at the core of what the company does.
"The Technology Center Bridgewater is designed to encourage collaboration across the value chain. We have successfully started this concept with the opening of our Inspiration Center Düsseldorf last year and aim to adapt and leverage in core markets for our Adhesive Technologies business such as North America as well."
According to Pernille Olsen, corporate VP of packaging and consumer goods adhesives, the new site, which will feature advanced analytical capabilities, will help expand Henkel’s position in sustainability and innovation, providing a space for collaboration and co-innovation.
The center will provide packaging solutions across myriad segments, including hygiene, tissue and towel, paper lamination, tape, graphics, and more.
"The central focus of Adhesive Technologies' innovation activities is developing sustainable solutions for our customers," said Michael Harwell, VP of innovation, Consumer Goods Adhesives. "With the help of digital technologies, many exhibits, and numerous labs, customers from across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico can directly experience our innovative and technological power. We're excited to invite customers and partners alike to the facility to work together with us."
